What To Expect At Your First Visit

Our warm and friendly staff will help you to complete all necessary intake paperwork before your initial exam with Dr. Shea. If you have insurance, please bring in your card for us to make a copy.

The initial exam includes a thorough physical assessment and discussion of your medical history and current needs in order to determine what the best treatment options are for you. Expect this first appointment to last approximately 1 hour. Follow-up appointments last between 30-40 minutes.

Ultrasound and E-Stim therapies are performed to loosen the muscles for adjustment. This relaxing, non-invasive therapy is performed by one of our certified Chiropractic Assistants and is done prior to your adjustment with Dr. Shea.

One of the many benefits of being a patient of Dr. Shea’s is that she performs deep tissue muscle work before spinal manipulation. This extra time and care she takes to work on her patients not only aids in the manipulation itself, but helps Dr. Shea to really get to know your body and what it needs.

Every patient is unique. We will work with you to determine an appropriate treatment plan that you feel comfortable with. All patient’s follow up visits are unique to them and completely dependent on the patient’s individualized care plan.
